The Museum at Rynok Square,1 is one of the youngest in Ukraine, but located in one of the oldest buildings in our state. Often it is called the Palace of Bandinelli or stone tower of Bandinelli. It is connected with the name of Florentine Robert Bondinelli, who arrived in the city and who first lived in this building. With this building the appearance of the first post is connected. In 1847 the first exhibition of photos was presented by Daherhel here. This is the only palace built in the style of the Florentine baroque, which is in Ukraine. The interior has survived up to 75 percent. As a material for ceiling beams were used, dated up to 1712. On the beams the outlet diffusers are depicted ---they kill the negative energy. Such outlet diffusers were typical in Italy.

At the museum there are a lot of things donated by outstanding figures: a set for christinaizing, a conductor`s stick of Stephen Fedak, and symbolic mace of I. Boberskyi. There are many sacred objects, which reflect not only cultural and aesthetic values, but the views and beliefs of religious communities in the city. Here you will find the symbolic keys of the city, from the four entrances to medieval Lviv. Giving keys to enemy was a symbol of surrender .This attribute is purely symbolic of city government. Since the Turkish invasion and the Second World War, these keys performed a kind of mission, and were later transferred to the museum. Until 1939, there was a president at the head of the city, though nowadays we`ve got a mayor. Actually there are portraits of former presidents of the city. Adam Mickiewicz gave a wreath and branch of linden leaves, made of silver as a present to the museum. Here is a soup tureen presented, weighing 22 kg of pure silver. It was a property of Lyubomyrivskyis` princes. Food in this tureen was not spoiled up to 10 days. You can`t but admire Pshyvolskyis` belts that do not require restoration. Layout of the City Council weighs over 32 kg of pure silver. The firm of Charles Zibbert produced this thing. Morning toilet came to us as a gift from a famous historical figure Sofia Pototska. It is a marriage gift of Count Felix. There are silver spoons with inscriptions in Latin and Old Polish. Dorthelm began to put a gold test on a metal. Here things that belonged to him are represented. There are covers for books made of gold and silver there. There is also a collection of silver tableware. Silver was widely used because it is not damaged and has many good and useful qualities. There are things accidentally found on the Tershakivtsiv street.
